When something doesn’t work out, we tend to blame everything, including us. We feel bad about ourselves, we feel like we’re inferior. We start focusing on negatives qualities that our anxious mind keeps telling us. We give voice to this negative thoughts… How can we change it? Can we control those thoughts?
If we open our hearts and make a shift in our thoughts, we can definitely focus on our good qualities and think about all of our good qualities. It’s not easy, that are a lot of special things we have to take in consideration, and we have to train and remind our minds about these special things almost on a daily basis before we do it seamlessly.
Special things:
I know you did your best. You know you did your best. If there’s nothing left that can be done to solve the situation from your side, have in mind you did all you could’ve done and bring peace to your mind. When you feel like you did your best, you start giving freedom to your mind.
There’s a difference between what happened and what’s your interpretation of what happened. You can interpret it’s the end of the world, you’ll never get over it. Or you can interpret that you just got a new chance for a new beginning and that the universe is here to help you build what you want, and that’s the chance you’ve been given.
Who creates the emotions around facts is you: You create the meaning of what happened. The facts are subjectives. What is terrible for one person, is not necessarily terrible for another one. Think how you can transform what happened in a lesson to be learned, and in an opportunity for a better future.
It’s NATURAL that negative thoughts and fearfulness are strong thoughts in your mind. Accept them, watch them passing through your mind, but don’t engage with them.
Focus on the color BLUE. In the room you’re in right now, what are the things that are BLUE? Can you make a list in your mind? Done? Close your eyes. Now, looking at this text - Don’t look at the room again! - tell me, what are the things in the room that are red? Can’t think of anything? that’s what happens when you focus only in those negative thoughts. You forget that the happiness, good things, opportunities are still there. Your mind is very powerful. Use it.
