What is this mystery behind all things? Where is it? Why can’t I see? Can I at least see how the mystery looks like? I know what buildings and computers look like. I know that the wind can blow the leaves during fall in a random afternoon. But every time I look at things I wonder what other people think about them. Do they also see how beautiful the squirrels are when they are hanging from a tree? Do they think this is stupid? Wait. I’m attributing essence to things. I’m trying to discover what are the essence to everything.

7 - NOT ATTRIBUTING ESSENCE SO STRONGLY TO THINGS

CAN BE A SOURCE OF FREEDOM

If I don’t attribute essence to things, I can then be free. Be all. Because the meaning behind the meaning of things is that everything has no meaning. The meaning behind the meaning of things is that everything has no meaning. There is absolutely no meaning and no mystery behind everything. You keep wondering: “What did my boss mean when they said that?”; “What does it mean when my partner does this?”; “Oh, my ex is doing this and that because he wants to bla bla bla bla…”; “I suppose my friend is ignoring me because of bla bla…”; None of this makes sense, do you know why? Because the meaning of things are already being shown to you. There’s no mystery, nothing is hidden;

It’s the strangest thing when we notice that everything is connected and there’s continuity. That the essence and meaning of events and objects are already there, you just have to see. I know… It’s not easy…. It’s not easy to understand that things are the way they appear to be and that there’s nothing to comprehend.

We are humans, we like stories, we want to know the meaning of things and make discoveries, bring technology to our lives. Yes, this is very important! Understand the world is important BUT carrying on the sensation of doubt and anxiety is not a good thing.

REMEMBER:

18 - GREEN TEA STILL TASTES LIKE GREEN TEA

YOU LOSE THE CARRY FORWARD OF THAT SENSATION

When you perceive the emptiness of things I’m not saying that you are not able to enjoy the world because nothing is good or bad anymore. You enjoy it BECAUSE nothing is good or bad anymore. Green tea still tastes like green tea, wine still tastes like wine. You just stop going into emotional rollercoasters after that. You don’t need to keep asking yourself why the wine is so good, why my boss said that to me, why I’m so ignorant or why do I have to find another job? No. You’ll listen the words, react, and that’s it. Green tea tastes like green tea.

REMEMBER:

19 - WHEN YOU RECOGNIZE THE FORMLESSNESS OF THE WORLD

YOU FEEL THE COLLECTIVE ESSENCE OF THINGS

I’ll repeat: When you recognize that nothing is separated from you, but actually everything IS you and you ARE everything, you start seeing how the only essence is the ONE of the whole. You notice the essence of emptiness…. or fullness, depending on your view. I have to admit that this is very rare, I do not take this to my everyday life every single day. Sometimes I forget about this. But I am reminded after or during a few meditations… I am reminded of that.

But hey! my senses learned: things don’t have meanings, they simply EXIST. THINGS are the mysterious meaning itself.
