"now nonchalant" is about realizing that time is moving whether you want it to or not. the character is still hoping this person will call, stay, choose him, say something.... but the fantasy is starting to feel less stable.
 
the song keeps coming back to clocks, waiting and waking up, almost like the character knows he cannot stay inside this imagined relationship forever.
 
in the video, the crystal star that represents the love story slowly changes from blue to black. it is a small detail, but it marks a big shift.... the dream is fading, and reality is beginning to return.
 
there is still hope here, but it already feels different. less innocent, more desperate, more aware that this might not become what he imagined.
