there is a point where trying to improve your life starts taking over your life.
 
i’m always thinking about what comes next.... how to work better, create more, learn something new, make more money, become more efficient, somehow keep up with everyone else. even the things i love can start feeling like another task on a list when my brain turns everything into progress.
 
"spare me a break" came from that exhaustion. the title is basically a plea.... can i please stop having to become a better version of myself for five minutes? can my art just exist without proving that i’m talented, productive, successful or eventually going to be rich?
 
there is also this fear of time running out. getting older, watching other people succeed, wondering whether my songs will disappear before anybody finds them. but trying to fit in only made me feel more bland anyway. so the song eventually turns into a small rebellion.... maybe being a little weird and making the art i actually want to make is more important than winning whatever race i thought i was in.
 
released on february 11, 2026, "spare me a break" became the fifth song of the "2024, life" audiovisual story.
