"murk achievements" is about the pressure to want the same things everybody else seems to want.... a certain career, money, status, a respectable title, something that other people can easily understand and congratulate you for.
but what if you simply don't care about achieving those things?
and then there is the opposite problem.... sometimes you achieve something that means everything to you and nobody else really gives a shit lol.
i think about that a lot with music. making albums, writing songs, producing them, filming videos and building these stories is probably one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. but to someone else, becoming a rich lawyer might sound much more impressive.... especially if that lawyer can do something useful for them.
so the song is really about deciding which achievements are actually yours. other people can have theirs. i can have mine.
